Anna Lee

Anna Lee was born October 25th at 7:50pm. She was 6lbs 15 1/2 oz and 20 inches long. And she is absolutely perfect!! I will spare most of the gory details but her arrival was very very different from her sisters. With Emma I had a 17 hour labor and complications after I had her. Here is Anna's story: I was 4 cm all week and I woke up Friday morning not feeling well. It was my last day of work but I had to leave early because I was sick. My dr appointment was at 2:10pm and when I went I had to wait for almost 2 hours before I saw my dr. So around 4pm I got back to see my dr. I was still 4cm when she checked me but I has been having contractions all day so she said if she hooked me up and I was having regular contractions she would send me on to the hospital to have the baby. They hooked me up and my contractions were every 3 minutes. So she told me to go on over to the hospital (which is right next door to my dr office building) and check in. I called justin who was at home with Emma and told him to take care of Emma and head to the hospital. I walked to my car, got my bags and walked over to hospital, up to l&d and checked myself in at 4:50pm. The nurses barely had my IV started when my dr came in to break my water. She checked me before she broke my water and I was 5cm already. After that things got crazy. My contractions got intense very very fast, so much so that I called justin and told him to drive faster. He got there and I immediately asked for epidural. By the time they came to do it I was in ALOT of pain. And the epidural did NOT go well. It took 5 attempts to get it in and I was about to climb a wall in pain. As soon as they got it in and laid me down the nurse checked me and I was complete. Dr came, I pushed for 30ish minutes and Anna Lee arrived. Total labor time: 3 hours!!!!!! I was shocked she came so fast but also very grateful. I had no complications afterwards and I feel so much better this time than the first time. Anna had a touch of jaundice but other than that has had no problems and is a good baby so far. We are very blessed and appreciate all the prayers!!!
