Well where do I start. Gran's back surgery did not go as planned. She was scheduled to get out of the hospital a day or two after surgery, but the night of her surgery she developed a very bad headache. The doctors decided that she had a tear in her spinal cord and it was leaking spinal fluid which was causing her headache. So they went in and did a procedure to help drain the fluid before it reached the tear and hoped it would heal on its own. She was put in Surgical ICU for 4 days and had to stay flat on her back. Yesterday they decided the tear was not healing on its own and they had to go back in for an exploratory surgery to hopefully find the tear and repair it. They did find the tear today and repaired it and she was put in a regular room and they will be getting her up to walk, hopefully sometime tomorrow. If all goes well, she will be home some time this week. So that's the update on Gran. Please keep her in your prayers as she goes through this healing process. ~
I spent the weekend in Owensboro celebrating Jessica's and Mamaw's birthdays and it was a wonderful weekend. Everyone is impressed by my tummy and my mother is really rubbing it in that I have gained weight. :) Emma is very very active and is moving now ALL the time. She used to just move when I was still but now she moves no matter what I am doing. ~ I am pretty sure I had my first Braxton-Hicks contractions yesterday. I had several at work after picking up 10 kids in a row changing diapers (oops, I guess I should slow down) and they continued last night, but none today. Justin couldn't figure out what the contractions were called and kept calling them Braxton Hinton contractions. :) We have our 6 month checkup tomorrow and I am excited to hear her heartbeat again. I am not so excited to get on the scales. :( ~ I guess thats all the news for now!
